WHAT'S THIS LECTURE ABOUT?

The goal of every UX designer is to create solutions that address users’ needs. To help users solve problems and achieve their goals, we should first understand their needs.

This lecture is an introduction to why research matters and how to apply it to your UX design process. Participants will get the intro to qualitative and quantitative research with examples of methods and when to use them.

In the webinar, we’ll look at how to apply different research methods to uncover user needs and validate various UX designs.

Damjan is a product builder at Pexip, where they help people collaborate and communicate no matter the distance or technology. Before that, he held a Research Director role with Cognizant in the Nordics and spend two years as Design research lead with Cisco (Webex Devices), where he looked into the future of work and collaboration. His journey led him from working with Mayo Clinic to develop a corporate well-being program to cracking security challenges with the US State Department. With his friends, they also founded a VC-backed startup that helped small business tell their brand stories. As a self-proclaimed generalist, he has been walking the rope between research and design for more than 20 years.
