Meeting web content accessibility standards and requirements is not only good practice but a necessity. Making your user interface design and visual design more accessible to people with disabilities also makes the web experience friendlier and inclusive. And a great web experience is a win for all users and businesses.

The lecture will cover the main principles of accessibility standards. To enhance the accessibility of your designs you will learn how to properly utilize the typography, colour contrast, alt text & ARIA Labels, UI elements, etc. You will also learn how to be creative within the accessibility box, what to do when web accessibility interferes with the brand or corporate identity, and which tools will help you design a better visual experience.

Patricija Perse has been working in the field of web design since there were only five web typographies on the web (2008). Her career path went from being a graphic designer to UX/UI design. She has also dabbled in front-end development but web design remains her primary occupation. Patricija has had the opportunity to work with major brands and industry-leading companies in Slovenia and various international projects in the UK and USA
